Honorees Julie Johnson and Julia Wesselkamper
Julie Johnson is a retired police sergeant who served for 22 years with the Cincinnati Police Department, where she worked diligently to foster acceptance of cultural differences and quality of life improvements. She continues this work through her volunteerism with Planned Parenthood and as a founding member of Playhouse Pride at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.
Julia Wesselkamper leads one of the highest-ranking all-female real estate teams in the nation and, with Julie, co-owns Stage It by Julia, one of the area’s most well-known staging companies. She is also a Playhouse trustee and has served on committees for Cincinnati Opera’s Fellow Travelers and ArtsWave Pride. Julia’s other volunteer passions include Habitat for Humanity, Lighthouse Youth and Family Services, and the Children’s Home of Cincinnati.
Julie and Julia serve the Cincinnati community with pride and are humbled to be honored by an organization promoting inclusivity and the betterment of the LGBTQIA+ community.
