Supernumerary or “super” roles are non-singing roles, much like extras in film and television. All operas are performed in historic Music Hall with an average audience of 2,800 people. Supers will share the stage with internationally renowned artists as well as have the opportunity to work with celebrated directors and conductors. Being a super involves approximately 10-15 rehearsals in the evenings or on weekends. (Please note: Die Meistersinger supers must also be available for weekday morning/afternoon rehearsals.) No experience is necessary and all super positions are filled on a voluntary basis.
